Anna Weber is a Realistic Oil Painter and Illustrator and resides in New York. Born in 1984, she was raised in Wallkill, NY where she would draw as soon as she could hold a crayon. She has worked on numerous commissioned portraits and fine art projects. She attended and graduated from Pratt Institute in 2006 wish a B.F.A. in Illustration. While attending school she realized that fine arts, specifically realistic oil painting was her true passion. While assisting painter James Hoston with his work, she realized the joy of collaboration. One of her main accomplishments was assisting Garin Baker with painting “Archway’s To Newburgh.” Her love for learning is what makes life truly exciting. Her art is inspired by the struggles of daily life that people of all cultures, and ages have to endure. She likes to tell her stories in a very allegorical way. Everything from her palette to her characters have meaning within each individual piece. She uses subtle icons that have hidden messages, so they don’t just look like pretty pictures. This technique is also often used in her work to portray political injustices in society. Portraiture is another one of her major passions and gifts.
